Welcome to NSW Central Coast Orienteering
Go to the Events page for up-to-date detail on when and where to find our events that are coming up.
We cater for, and welcome, beginners at all our events. Somebody will be on hand to give you a few pointers and get you started. No special equipment needed; just clothing suitable for walking or jogging. You can take part individually, or in small groups. So just turn up at an event and give orienteering a go.
The main events in our calendar are a series of Sunday morning 45 minute score events (you navigate to as many of the control locations marked on the map as you can, and return to the finish in as close as possible to 45 minutes) held through the summer months.
Later on in the summer, we have the unique O’Shea Two Days pairs event in early March.
Non-members and beginners are welcome at all our events. If you are not a member of our club, but are interested in orienteering on the Central Coast, you may like to send us an email at the address on our contacts page. Then we’ll try and keep in touch by sending you an occasional email to let you know what’s happening.
O’Shea 2 Days – 6 & 7 Mar
This year’s O’Shea is on the week-end of 6 & 7 March. Please look on the Events page for more information and instructions on how to enter. Entries are now open.
Results, photos, etc from last year’s O’Shea event can be found here.
Summer Series – November to February
This annual series was completed with the event at Narara on 14 Feb. For all the results, scores and prize-winners, take a look at this page. The Series Scores page has the tallied-up scores for the whole summer series.
Look out for news of our winter program, which will have a focus on the less experienced orienteers and include a little coaching. We expect this to kick off in May.
